vitamina c(reativa): siete ingredientes para una economía naranja sostenible
Cochabamba hosted the Second International Forum on the Creative Economy, organized by the Institute for Business and Economic Progress (IPPE) in partnership with the Franz Tamayo University (Unifranz). This second edition aimed to establish the creative economy as a driving force for regional and national development, offering a dynamic platform for exchanging ideas and proposals to build sustainable alternatives amid structural challenges.
A highlight of the event was the participation of Felipe Buitrago, the creator of the “Orange Economy” concept at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and former Minister of Culture of Colombia, who joined the forum from Spain. Buitrago shared his extensive experience, focusing on inspiring attendees and strengthening Bolivia’s creative economy through practical proposals and successful examples from across the region. In his presentation, he delved into the concept of the «7ies,» a crucial framework for understanding the dynamics of the creative sector.
The forum also emphasized the potential of the creative economy in sectors like fashion, crafts, and software development, highlighting it as an essential tool for diversifying Bolivia’s economy. This perspective underscored the ability to generate value through innovation and local talent, positioning creativity as a strategic pillar for the country’s future development.
